Change of Name

PetroLatina, the independent oil and gas exploration, development and production company focused on Latin America, announces that on 27 March 2012 subsequent to the resolutions having been passed at the General Meeting (“GM”) held on 9 March 2012, as set out in the circular sent to shareholders on 16 February 2012, the Company’s name changed from PetroLatina Energy Plc to PetroLatina Energy Limited. The change of name reflects that the Company has re-registered as a private limited company following cancellation of the admission to trading on AIM of the Company’s ordinary shares of US$0.10 each (“Ordinary Shares”) (the “De-listing”).

Unless the context otherwise requires, defined terms used in this announcement shall have the meanings given to them in the Circular posted to shareholders on 16 February 2012, which is available to download from the Company’s website at www.petrolatinaenergy.com.
